New External Signage for 16 Epping Schools by Signs Base

New Exterior School Signage for 16 Schools in Epping, Epping Forest Schools Partnership Trust

Signs Base recently completed a project for 16 schools within the Epping Forest Schools Partnership Trust. Organised by Karen Salmons, Epping Forest School Partnership Trust Chief Financial Officer, the project involved the production and installation of over 50 shaped external signage at all 16 schools replacing tired signs which had been in place for some time.

Karen initially found Signs Base on-line. The company won the project thanks to their professional approach, value for money, attention to detail and customer service. Timescales were adhered to, the information provided detailed and accurate and the project completed on time. Karen commented “The flexibility of Signs Base when working with 16 schools was great. The survey and installation dates were both changed at short notice and they were very accommodating, the service was excellent. I would have no hesitation in recommending Signs Base or using them for another project. Sign Base offered a flexible, high quality service that is good value for money.”

Matthew Bryan of Silveryfox Design, the graphic designer on the project was also very impressed with Signs Base, “The finished signs look exactly as the artwork supplied, all the colours look spot-on! Working with Lukasz couldn’t have been more straightforward I supplied the artwork and the signs were produced with no fuss at all.”

Signs Base works regularly on projects in London but also outside the capital including areas in Essex, Berkshire and Kent. Lukasz Surma, Company Director, managed the project from start to finish, the deadline was tight. “This wasn’t the first external signage project we had done for schools, but it was definitely the first that involved various installation sites and product variations; the first stage was to survey all 16 schools – which I managed to do in one day and ahead of the scheduled time. The installation dates then had to be diarised, planning around 2 weeks in advance, trying to ensure we could complete at least 6 schools per day to keep the installation costs as low as possible – a bit tricky logistically but in the end we have met our deadline as planned.”

Signs Base core business is shop signage, business signage, window graphics and banners. In addition, for new businesses or those that are rebranding they offer a one-stop-shop and can produce promotional flyers, brochures, letterheads and business cards, as well as the all-important Covid signage. Everything is designed in-house so projects can be turned around quickly with plenty of advice, brand guidance and great customer service. All artwork received is double-checked for the most common errors, ensuring that images are crisp and of a good resolution and there are no spelling mistakes, if necessary, a re-design can be discussed.

Since January 2021 Signs Base has been rapidly expanding, introducing new signage and print solutions such as illuminated LED signs, 3D Letters and external Modular Panel Sign Systems that will help to refresh not only the external signage of many schools but also help local businesses in Essex, Berkshire, Slough and London to get noticed.
